A fantastic experience for a new cigar aficionado.

As someone who is relatively new to the world of cigars, I visited The Head Case Cigars and was extremely warmly welcomed.

Tony, whose knowledge of cigars, enthusiasm and, above all, patience really stood out.

Tony took the time to show me the cigar selection, explain the differences between the various cigars, and answer all of my questions without ever making me feel like a beginner.

What impressed me even more was that he then sat down with me and enjoyed a cigar, simply keeping me company and sharing his knowledge and passion for cigars. That personal touch made the whole experience feel very special.

And then came my favourite moment of the afternoon!!! Tony mentioned that he had once visited My Father’s factory in Nicaragua. I immediately thought, “Wow, his father actually owns a cigar factory!!! No wonder why he is an specialist”

It took me a little while to realise that My Father is actually the name of a famous cigar brand. As a newcomer to the cigar world, I couldn’t help but laugh at myself!

For anyone who is interested in cigars, whether you’re experienced or just starting out like me, I would definitely recommend visiting The Head Case Cigars. Great selection, fantastic knowledge, and most importantly, a genuinely welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

Went out for a cigar and drink day with the guys amazing service and recommendations on local water holes that allow a stogie
Lovely fellas in the shop know their stuff and excellent  for a chat cigar related or otherwise

Walked in on a weekend having come across from Cowes Week, meant to stay 20 min,stayed most of the afternoon. That tells you most of it. Tony is the reason. He’s not a salesman, he is a proper cigar lover with a properly serious range in that shop that most of St James don’t have. I’ve visited a lot of cigar shops in the UK and abroad and while many have been excellent, Head Case Cigars in Southsea is something different.

For me the cigar journey starts from the moment you walk through the door. Tony and his knowledge, passion and genuine enthusiasm for cigars are second to none. It’s not simply about choosing a cigar it is about the whole experience, from the conversation and the advice to discovering something new and finding the cigar that’s right for you.

Tony and his team have a way of making you feel that every cigar has a story and that the enjoyment starts long before you ever light it. Their passion is infectious and you can tell that this isn’t just a business to them that it is a genuine love for cigars and for sharing that experience with others.

I’ve been to some impressive cigar shops , but Head Case stands out for all the right reasons. It’s not the biggest and it is not the poshest, but it is without a doubt the best cigar shop I’ve ever been to.

Visted this place today to pick up some cigars for a wedding.

Such an excellent time, was really a wonderful experience staff are super helpful especially with the recommendations paired my whiskey perfectly with the cigar, 10/10 would recommend
